For beginners, my goal is to teach you to play music as soon as possible. I stress the fundamentals; holding the guitar, tuning, understanding the parts of the guitar and not feeling intimidated or overwhelmed. I will help you work on practice habits, technique and the three more important elements for playing all styles of music.

1. Time Playing the correct tempo
How to feel an internal groove and "lock-in" with other musicians

2. Tone: Playing with clarity and accuracy
How to get the best sound possible out of your guitar or bass

3. Form: Understanding song structure
How to play chord changes with proper chord placement and feel proper chord duration

For the more experienced musicians, I isolate your needs and help you develop a program to meet your goals. You will benefit from my experience in teaching , performing, recording, and composing in many different contemporary styles such as Jazz, Blues, Rock, Heavy Metal, Country, Folk, Funk, Soul and R&B. I emphasize ear training, transcription (album copying), scales, arpeggios, modes, advanced improvisational concepts and their function within chord progressions. We will also concentrate on Harmony and Music Theory, especially Harmony as it relates to songs.
